Trent Reznor scoring ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER
Apparently Oscar gold has Trent Reznor out for blood.
Horrible vampire joke aside, Reznor has in fact decided to take his composing, and acting, skills to an upcoming vampire film.
Badass Digest is reporting that Reznor will be scoring the upcoming Timur Bekmambetov film, ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, and will also be appearing in the film as a vampire that the iconic former President has to take out. The film will be based off of a novel penned by Seth Grahame-Smith, and follows Lincoln’s fight against vampires throughout his life.
VAMPIRE HUNTER will star Jimmi Simpson, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Lincoln himself, Ben Walker, and is one of a cavalcade of revisionist style projects currently being put through the pipeline.Personally, while I haven’t read the novel, the idea of Bekmambetov doing a film like this with a Reznor score makes this a really interesting little project.
The film will hit on June 22, 2012. What do you think about this news?
