Two more PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN films in the works
Four films in the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise not going to be enough for you? Well, Disney is looking to more than fill your gut with two more achingly dreadful PIRATES films.
According to HitFix, there are now plans to get two more sequels on the books, with the hope being that they will ultimately be shot back-to-back. Disney has allegedly gone as far as to tell cast and crew to keep some time open in their calendars, just in case PIRATES 5 and 6 are to be made.
With star Johnny Depp having a relatively full 2011 schedule, with the likes of DARK SHADOWS and THE LONE RANGER ready to shoot during next year, it still remains to be seen just what the schedule on these two will be. Personally, I have absolutely no interest in seeing any more film in this franchise, particularly when Depp, an actor I genuinely love, has better and more interesting films, such as WILD ROSES, TENDER ROSES, on his slate. However, there is always something to be said for the all mighty dollar. And apparently, that seems to be more important to Depp than we all would like to imagine.
