"GATWers, I need to talk to you...GATWers, I have got to talk to you! Look, I am sorry about this, this seems like a nice soiree, but I have got a situation. I don't care what you think. I dont care! Tengo una situación con mi hotel! Dignan does not want to deal with it, could you please read the below for a minute?"

I've chopped and screwed one of Bob Mapplethorpe's most famous lines in the film BOTTLE ROCKET in an attempt to grab your attention, because dear Texas readers, we need your help. The motel Anthony, Dignan, and Bob hide out at in BOTTLE ROCKET, the Days Inn of Hillsboro, is in danger of becoming an outlet mall or a Wal-Mart very soon.

So here's the lowdown: the hotel is in danger of being turned into something nobody will appreciate nearly as much as us nerds who love BOTTLE ROCKET, so the good folks over at the Alamo Drafthouse have teamed up with the Reservoir Geeks in an attempt to save the hotel from extinction.

This is where things get really awesome and where you get to be awesome with the awesome things you're about to read: on July 9th the Drafthouse will be screening BOTTLE ROCKET at the Days Inn where the film was shot. Robert Musgrave - Bob Mapplethorpe, the getaway driver - will be in attendance for a Q&A and the Reservoir Geeks will be giving a tour of the locations in the hotel where BOTTLE ROCKET was filmed.

Tickets for this event are just $10 and they're on sale now at Drafthouse.com. Mondo Tees will be selling special limited edition posters of the event and donating some of the proportions to the Days Inn.

The Reservoir Geeks are encouraging people to rent a room and stay the night there - you can do that now by calling 254-582-3493. For more details on the event, head over to Reservoir Geeks!
