Video Interview: TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT actor Topher Grace
Once you have had the honor of serving as an employee of the fine video retail establishment known as Suncoast Video (rest in piece S.V.), you immediately have an unspoken bond between yourself and any other Suncoaster. You just meet someone, and you know. It's like a secret society, that only people who once donned that red vest and lanyard have an intrinsic knowledge of. Notable members include myself, Chase Whale, and a lot of guys that probably still haven't felt the touch of a woman.
I recently sat down with another fellow Suncoast alumni, by the name of Topher Grace. Sure, you may know him as the star of That '70s Show or even Spider-Man's arch nemesis, Venom, but to Chase and I, he is just "brother."
Check out our recent interview in which we redefine the term "geeking out," as we reminisce about the good ole' days down at the Coast. We also manage squeeze in a discussion about Topher's new film, a love letter to the Eighties known as TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT (art imitates life here as his character, Matt Franklin, also happens to work at Suncoast which is how the whole tangent gets started in the first place). In it, we converse about capturing the authenticity of the decade, some of the '80s filmic influences, the totally rad soundtrack, and the film's long road to the theater. Oh, and SPACE JAM. We talk about SPACE JAM.
Check it after the break dudes and dudettes, along with Topher and I's Q&A from Gordon and the Whale's exclusive TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT screening in Dallas, which happened to be one of the first times the final film was shown to an audience.
