Wes Craven confirmed to direct SCREAM 4
Update: Wes Craven just posted this via Twitter: "In response to the rumors about me directing SCREAM 4, a deal has not yet been set, so stay tuned for accurate information."
In the last few months, SCREAM 4 information has been gushing out like a wicked stab wound. In July, both Arquettes confirmed their involvment, and in September, we learned Neve Campbell had finally signed on, although speculation reports her involvement is very small. The big question has been whether or not Wes Craven would be back, and now we have that answer.
Our good friends over at Cinema Blend have just posted Wes Craven's confirmation. Through a reliable source, they reported Craven will return to direct the fourth installment. This serves as 100% good news to horror fans, as SCREAM would not be the same without him. Kevin Williamson - the mind behind the brilliant SCREAM and following mediocre sequels - has been busy working on the script. No other cast members have been announced, but we will post as soon as we get word!
Before I finish this, let's recap: so far, we've had a demented boyfriend, his pissed off mother, and a heartbroken bastard step-brother who've all tried to end Sidney Prescott. Technically, this story could have endless amounts of attempted killers (a pissed off sister of the deceased dead boyfriend's deceased mother, etc. etc.), but I give Wes/Kevin way too much credit for that. My question for you is, who do you think Sidney's "Screamer" will be this time around?
