Back in February, the first promo for Takashi Miike's 13 ASSASSINS debuted, and now the full trailer has been released for the samurai epic. Miike has long been on the short list of director's to watch, but he is also one of the most controversial filmmakers working today; with films ranging from the shockingly graphic Yakuza bloodbath ICHI THE KILLER, to the truly disturbing family film VISITOR Q. With 13 ASSASSINS, Miike looks to be taking a giant leap forward.

Take a look at the Japanese language trailer after the break!

13 ASSASSINS is a remake of a 1963 film by the same name and stars Koji Yakusho. The film will be released September 25th in Japan, although there is no word yet on when the film is coming over to our shores. Look for 13 ASSASSINS to be included in some upcoming festivals here in the U.S., as that is probably your best chance of seeing this film right now. The 2010 New York Asian Film Festival's Japan line-up is already set, and while they are not showing 13 ASSASSINS, Miike's previous film YATTERMAN is set to screen if you're interested in checking out some of this director's incredible work.

Miike has already made some fantastic films, so at least that will tide us all over until we have the privilege of seeing this film in its entirety.
