Who will refer to Paul Rudd as MY IDIOT BROTHER
Paul Rudd has added another film to his "to-do" list, and that film is MY IDIOT BROTHER, in which he will play "an idealist dealing with his overbearing mother who crashes into the homes of his three ambitious sisters and, in succession, brings truth, happiness and a sunny disposition into their lives while also wreaking havoc."
Sounds about right, and it should make for an interesting transition from James L. Brooks' follow up to 2004's SPANGLISH, the romantic comedy HOW DO YOU KNOW, to WANDERLUST, another collaboration with Ken Marino and David Wain.
MY IDIOT BROTHER is helmed by Jesse Peretz, who previously directed Rudd and Romany Malco in the 2001 comedy THE CHATEAU, and co-written by Evgenia Peretz (Jesse's sister) and David Schisgall, neither of which have any previous writing work listed. Rudd is the only actor currently attached to this project, however, casting of the sisters is expected soon, as they hope to start filming next month.
