Will Ferrell comedy 3 MISSISSIPPI getting a re-write from new directors
From a time machine that also happened to be a hot tub, all the way to a sports comedy starring two of Hollywood’s biggest names, the pair of Sean Anders and John Morris have become two of the comedy world’s hottest commodities.
THR reports that the pair will be re-writing and also directing the upcoming film 3 MISSISSIPPI (formerly known as TURKEY BOWL), which tells the story of two different families who have been feuding for five decades, and what goes down during their annual Thanksgiving football game.
The film stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, and sounds like a mighty fine comedy project. I loathed HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, but find that the pair of Ferrell and Wahlberg are a great comedic duo, as seen in the hilarious THE OTHER GUYS. Toss in an interesting enough premise, and you’ve got a film that I really can’t wait to check out.
