"I’ve just had the opportunity to see the finished film of THE HUNGER GAMES," writes The Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins on the film's Facebook wall.

Collins, who adapted the film from the first novel of her popular young adult trilogy, noted  "I’m really happy with how it turned out."

"I feel like the book and the film are individual yet complementary pieces that enhance one another. The film opens up the world beyond Katniss’ point of view, allowing the audience access to the happenings of places like the Hunger Games control room and President Snow’s rose garden, thereby adding a new dimension to the story."

Collins' endorsement bodes well for the much-hyped film, which also features a new track by The Arcade Fire, "Abraham's Daughter", during the closing credits (sorry, Lenny Kravitz). Entertainment Weekly debuted the song on their website last week and had cool kids around the interwebs turning up their speakers en mase, though that link has since been mysteriously disabled. The soundtrack is set for release on March 20.

THE HUNGER GAMES soundtrack:

Taylor Swift – "Safe & Sound" (featuring the Civil Wars)
Taylor Swift - "Eyes Wide Open"
Arcade Fire – "Abraham's Daughter"
Kid Cudi - "The Ruler & The Killer"
Miranda Lambert - "Run Daddy Run"
The Civil Wars - "Kingdom Come"
The Decemberists - "One Engine"
Glen Hansard - "Take The Heartland"
The Low Anthem - "Lover Is Childlike"
Punch Brothers – "Dark Days"
The Secret Sisters - "Tomorrow Will Be Kinder"
Birdy – "Just A Game"
Ella Mae Bowen – "Oh Come And Sing"
Jayme Dee - "Rules"
Carolina Chocolate Drops – "Reaping Day"
