WTF: Barry Sonnenfeld to tell us what would happen if aliens took on dinosaurs
COWBOYS & ALIENS not doing it for you? How about aliens vs. dinosaurs?
If that sounds like a good idea to you then Barry Sonnenfeld just became your favorite filmmaker.
Deadline is reporting that the MEN IN BLACK III director is set to helm a new film entitled DOMINION: DINOSAURS VERSUS ALIENS, which would look at, you guessed it, what would happen if the two entities took on one another. Now, the interesting thing to note here is that the film will be penned by none other than comic icon Grant Morrison, who will also be writing the graphic novel that will also be based around this idea.
Overall, while the film sounds like an absolutely ridiculous idea and Sonnenfeld’s addition is insanely uninteresting, Morrison’s involvement in the film is much more intriguing. I have no hopes for this film whatsoever, but the fact that Morrison is indeed working on the film makes the pain a little easier to handle. However, there is frankly no reason that this film should be made, and with COWBOYS & ALIENS being one of the summer’s biggest question marks, this may not be as profitable as one would hope.
