Yorick von Wageningen joins David Fincher’s GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO
While the film is still slated to hit theaters this December, David Fincher’s upcoming take on THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO is still apparently adding cast members.
De Volkskrant is reporting (via The Playlist) that Yorick von Wageningen will play Nils Bjurman, the guardian of one Lisbeth Salander, the film’s lead. He will also be joined by the newly added Bengt C.W. Carlsson andMathilda von Essen, who have also nabbed parts in the film.
Wageningen definitely adds a lot of flavor to the film, as do Carlsson and Essen, as the film marks both of their biggest roles to date. He plays a relatively important role within the film, so this is an interesting addition to a chock-full cast here.
With the December release on the way, Fincher has a boatload of things left to do on the project, which is one of the most hotly talked-about films coming this year. Fincher is the perfect man for this project, and with a cast this great, there is a lot to live up to.
