Someone finally did it. Someone finally thought of an idea for a movie that will mash-up cowboys, ninjas, and Vikings. Sure, maybe not as cool as a film about Robot Zombie Pirate Ninja Vampires but, for now, it's the closest thing we're going to get.

And fortunately, the film has some capable hands behind it, with ZOMBIELAND scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese taking on the big screen adaptation of the graphic novel from Image Comics for Disney. Based on the name alone, I assume a lot of you are already sold, but here's the synopsis anyway. It centers around Duncan, a former psychiatric patient with Multiple Personality Disorder turned counter-intelligence agent for code name: Triplets. Being a gentlemen with the disposition of MPD, Duncan is trained in the art of three separate fighting styles, complete their own personality traits that he also assumes. Yet, when he goes rogue, he decides to take down the very organization that made him the hybrid warrior he has become.

Holy awesome, this sounds awesome! Think Jason Bourne if he carried a samurai sword, a Viking axe, a six-shooter, had competing facial hair, and a mixture of the three personalities to boot! And seeing how Wernick and Reese are the kind of go-to guys for witty, action-filled genre pics (i.e. ZOMBIELAND and the tour of duty they're currently serving on DEADPOOL). I imagine it will be awesome to the second degree with that dynamic duo behind it.
