As Justin Theroux continues to mess with the screenplay for the character’s potential return to the big screen, it appears as though we will be seeing Zoolander once again, this time, on the web.

According to the NY Times, Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films is set to team with Paramount Digital for a series of animated Zoolander shorts and live action shorts called Billy Glimmer: Entertainer Of The Century. Stiller will be giving the voices for the series’ lead characters, with hopes being high that Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell will be available for their respective characters. Billy Glimmer will follow Stiller as he plays “a mid-level voice impersonator out of Las Vegas.” That series already has a pilot shot, and will feature Rob Huebel as part of the cast.

Personally, the Billy Glimmer shorts are a bit more interesting to me, simply because I really dig Heubel as a comedic actor, and the idea of Stiller teaming up with Human Giant director Jason Woliner has me more than excited. The Zoolander shorts are also intriguing, but simply because I am a rather big fan of that character. Both, however, have me hoping that one day we will in fact see Zoolander back on the big screen. It’s a character that deserves a new film, so hopefully this will spawn that very project.
